Van Diemen’s Land - Teaser
Van Diemen’s Land (now Tasmania) was founded in 1803. From 1804 to 1853 thousands of convicts were transported to Van Dieman’s Land. The song known as ‘The Gallant Poachers’ celebrated the journey to the island marking the war between the landed and landless.
